Ronald Hoskins

October 11th, 1934 to March 28th, 2018

Ronald J. Hoskins Sr., 83, of Marysville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born October 11, 1934 in Port Huron to the late Collin and Pauline Hoskins. He married Sheila A. Campbell on September 2, 1961 in Mt. Clemens.

Ronald was a graduate of Port Huron High School and served in the National Guard. He was employed as a staff supervisor for Michigan Bell Telephone Company until his retirement. Later he did specialty work for Detroit Edison.

Ronald was a member of Blue Water Christian Church. He had an unwavering love for the Lord. His life was a testimony to his family and all who knew and loved him.

He was active in the local PTA when his children were young. He loved playing bridge and participated in various bridge marathons.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shelia; children, Colleen (David) DeLong and Ronald (Susan) Hoskins Jr.; grandchildren, Alexandra and Zachary Hoskins; brother, Collin H.A. (Jo) Hoskins Jr.; sister, Louise (Charles) Diamond; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a former exchange student who became like a son, Dr. Nils Brückelmann. He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia and Carl Fisher.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in Blue Water Christian Church, 1331 Chestnut Street, Port Huron, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Bruce Clark will officiate.

Inurnment will be in the Riverlawn Cemetery Columbarium.
