Todd Michael Brandenburg, 51, of Port Huron and formerly of Hayward, California and Cheboygan, Michigan, died Saturday, May 26, 2018.
He was born January 14, 1967 in Oakland, California. He married Adrienna “Nina” VerWys on October 19, 2002 in Cheboygan.
Todd was raised in Hayward, California, graduated from Castro Valley High School and attended Chabot College.
After moving to Michigan in 2000, he greatly appreciated the beauty of his adopted state. With his “gift of gab”, Todd was a natural salesman and enjoyed that occupation most of his life. Many of his customers became his friends.
He loved fishing, all types of games and was a dedicated Oakland Raiders fan. From boyhood he was a creative cook with Mexican food being his specialty.
Todd will be remembered for his big heart and sense of humor. He will live on in the hearts of all who loved him and we have been blessed to have him in our lives.
Todd’s favorite role was being a dad to his children, Jared, Blake and Lilly. He is also survived by his wife, Nina; parents, Art and Diane Brandenburg; siblings, Laurel Fogarty, Betsy (Brian) Hurst; uncle, Neil Beckley; aunt, Pamela Sourbeer; half-sisters, Tiffany and Danica; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 pm Tuesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in Hillside Wesleyan Church with visiting beginning at 10:00 am. The Reverend Nate Neihof will officiate.
Memorials may be made to his children’s educational fund with checks made payable to his wife, Nina.
