Marion Thomas

Marion Thomas, 79, of Avoca, peacefully took the Lord’s hand on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at home with her daughter by her side.

She was born March 15, 1939 in Port Huron to the late Louis and Rosa Buntrock. She married Wayne L. Thomas. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2012.

Marion was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church and especially enjoyed taking communion from Pastor Don. She also loved country buggy rides, watching cowboy movies and getting cherry Slurpee’s.

She is survived by her children, Laurie (Richard) Morris, Ronald (Crystal) Thomas and Carrie (Dave) Scourtes 13 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward Thomas; step-daughter, Michelle Crow and two grandchildren.

Private services will be held at a later date in Our Saviour Lutheran Church. The Reverend Donald R. Doerzbacher will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Our Saviour Lutheran Garden.

Memorials may be made to Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
