Robert R. Collinge

Robert Raymond Collinge, 70, of Port Huron Township, passed Monday, October 22, 2018.

He was born January 8, 1948 in Port Huron to the late Basil and Dolores Collinge. He married Nancy Ostrander on October 15, 1966 in Port Huron and they recently celebrated their 52nd anniversary.

Mr. Collinge retired from Detroit Edison after 38 years, working as a welder, United Way Community Service Director and union steward. He coached little league in his younger years, was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; five children, Scott Collinge, Jeffrey (Kathryn) Collinge, Craig Collinge, Heidi (Joshua) Combs and Bryan (Jill) Collinge; nine grandchildren, Cody Steinhaus, Selina, Kyle, Emily, Camrynn, Landon, Logan and Chase Collinge and Chloe Combs; a brother, Donald (Sandy) Collinge; a sister, Sue Hunt; brothers-in-law, Arnold, Butch and Raymond Ostrander and Gary (Marlene) Hock; sister-in-law, Linda Jo (John) Dennis; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan; siblings, Ellen Jo Hinton, Richard, David and Sheri Collinge; sisters-in-law, Diane Hock, Betty Shovan, Mary Ann (Grant) Palmer, Wanda and Eileen Ostrander; and brother-in-law, Ed Ostrander.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Friday, October 26, 2018 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Marsh Lohr will officiate.
