Norbert Goeller
Funeral services for Norbert Goeller, 61, a resident of Port Huron, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on July 5, 2019 in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Norb was carried away from those who loved him most on June, 13th, 2019 at his home.
Norbert was born January17, 1958 in Permasens Germany, a son of Karl and Gudrun (Acker) Göller. He and his family moved to the United States (Davenport, IA) in his early childhood where he graduated from Davenport West High in 1976, then went on to Scott Community College where he made Dean’s list and graduated the Auto Mechanics Program in 1991. He moved to South Bend, Indiana in 1995 where he resided with his close friend Liz and worked as an Auto Mechanic until relocating to Port Huron, Michigan in 2011.
Norb was a highly skilled mechanic and had a knack for carpentry and would make many items for friends and family such as wishing wells and benches. He also enjoyed making moccasins and other unique rare items in his free time. He was an avid mushroom hunter, had a passion for fossils and stones, and was also an outstanding fisherman and boater.
Mr. Goeller is survived by his daughter, Nicole of Davenport, Iowa; two grandsons; his brothers, Harald, Gary and Andy; several nieces and nephews; his fiancée, Susie; and long-time friend, Liz. He is preceded in death by his father, Karl Sr, and brother, Karl Jr.
Family would like to extend a special thank you to Norb’s best friend, Bob Miller, and his girlfriend, Debbie Porter, for being there for him through the most trying time of his life and providing love, compassion, support, care and most of all friendship.
