Gladys M Lymburner
Gladys Marie Lymburner, 90, passed away November 3, 2019 at her home in Columbus, Georgia, with her son, David, and daughter-in-law, Mary Margaret, by her side.
She was born in Port Huron on May 14, 1929. Gladys loved to tell stories, and was very proud of her time spent working at the famous Erd-Marshall coat factory when she was a young girl, as well as being a waitress at Powers Hamburgers.
She married Charles Lymburner on November 26, 1949 in the First Congregational Church in Port Huron. She was well known for her baking and homemade candies. She would prepare and bake for weeks before the holidays to make sure there was a delicious spread of food and treats for the entire family.
Gladys is survived by her three sons, David (Mary Margaret) Lymburner, Columbus, GA, Rick (Cathy) Lymburner, Union Hall, VA and Greg (Jackie) Lymburner, Carlton, MI; six grandchildren, Heather (Boyce) McRae, Columbus, GA, Melanie Lymburner, Columbus, GA, Leslie Smith, Charlottesville, VA, Dan Spradling, Venice, CA, Matt Spradling, Ferndale, MI and Lucas Lymburner, Carlton, MI; and four great grandchildren, Connor, Caden, Savannah and Sean.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; daughter, Sharon Spradling; grandson, Bo; and her siblings, Wallace Irwin, Virginia Fuller and Jack Irwin.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
