Mark A Sihon

Mark Andrew Sihon, 58, of Kent, Washington, passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 31, 2020. Mark was born January 15, 1962, in Detroit, MI, to Tanas Michael and Tamara Hope Sihon. Mark graduated from Ann Arbor Pioneer High class of 1980, earned his BBA Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from the University of Michigan School of Business in 1985, his Masters of Acquisition Management with Academic Distinction from the American Graduate University, and became a Certified Fraud Examiner. Mark was a U.S. Naval Lieutenant, a Navy Aviator, and commanding officer aboard the USS Carl Vinson, was awarded numerous medals including expert pistol shot, National Defense Service, and served as a Veteran of the Gulf War. In 1995 Mark became a FAA Certified Flight Instructor, then earned Securities Licenses, IT Certifications and worked for Goldman Sachs in San Francisco. Mark then moved to the Seattle area in 2009 and became an Analyst with the Defense Contract Management Agency in Bellevue and a Senior Auditor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency at Boeing Tukwila. Mark was an accomplished jazz saxophonist who loved listening to John Coltrane, classical music, and Pink Floyd. Mark liked to hike, ride his motorcycle, and care for his trees, flowers and the neighborhood "critters". Mark's disciplined patriotic nature, kindness and sense of humor will always hold a special place in our hearts. Fair winds and following seas, our Dearest Mark. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Tamara Hope Sokoloff and is survived by his father Tanas M. Sihon and brother Paul A. Sihon.
