Gerald K. Beedon, 89, of Port Huron, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.
Jerry was born on November 15, 1931 in Port Huron to the late Clayton Beedon and Bessie Lent. He married Diane Wolven on April 30, 1966. Jerry was best known for his kindness, big heart, and sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family, building model airplanes, and enjoyed a good barbecue, along with a good joke. Jerry was also well known for his mechanical skills.
During his wonderful life, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. He professionally worked as a government inspector, a flight line mechanic for the U.S. Air Force, and was an all-around handy man for Howard Stein for many years. Jerry had a huge heart and was willing to help anyone in need.
Jerry and his wife, Diane, enjoyed spending their time watching local softball teams.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diane; children, Gerald (Debbie) Beedon Jr., Randy (Beth) Beedon, Veronica (Dan) Brenner, Tina (Tom) Budzik, Barb Beedon, Sandy (Ron) Horne and Roger (Kerry) Beedon; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Ronald Beedon, Robert (Ann) Beedon; sister, Donna Johnson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Vickie; grandson, Scott; and sister, Shirley Waldrop.
Private graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in Ruby Cemetery. The Reverend Eric Miller will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force and the St. Clair County Allied Honor Guard.
