Artie Michel Davis, 80, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 28, 2020, at home surround by her kids, grandchild and great grandchildren.
She was born December 27, 1940 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late Ethel Miller and Woodrow McGill. Artie was the oldest of nine siblings.
Artie graduated from Port Huron High School. She worked at St. Clair Rubber Company and Palms Krystal Bar, frying the best chicken wings in Port Huron. She loved bingo, reading romance books and having her nightly beer while watching sports, especially baseball which was her favorite.
She leaves to mourn her passing two sons, Stephen Davis and Randolph (Sonjia) Davis; a daughter, Pamela Davis; son-in-law, Raymond Harvey; five granddaughters, Shantoria, ShaRay, DiMond “Katt”, DaMore and Destyne Davis; one grandson, Joseph Lincoln; four great grandsons, DeAnthony Billy, Joseph Lincoln II, Marcel Lincoln and Rashad Carrothers; two great granddaughters, Skky Moore and Avi’Yonnah Gamez; two sisters, Alvester Brown and Mary (Don) McCullough; one brother, Charles (Barbie) Miller; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Miller and Helen Miller; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Miller; daughter, Victoria Jean Harvey; two sisters, Joyce Noble and Wilethel “Cindy” Miller; three brothers, Russell, Joe and Fred Miller; and brother-in-law, Michael J. Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in Restoration Christian Community Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Carl Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.
