Birgit Caldwell

Birgit Caldwell, 61, of Fort Gratiot, died Saturday, January 9, 2021.

She was born December 25, 1959 in Bexbach, Germany to the late Herbert and Elfriede Jüstel.

Birgit was a graduate of the University of Michigan, where she studied Criminal Law. She enjoyed scrapbooking and loved animals and her family.

She is survived by her children, Alan Caldwell, Brittany (Ron) Catanzaro, Leonard Baldwin Jr. and Angie (Quinton) McCaster; and seven grandchildren, Katrina, Bruce, Demarcus, Leonard III, Raina, Alannah and Dominic. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne Caldwell; and a brother, William.

Private family services have taken place.
