Juliana G Thomas

Juliana Gail Thomas, 83, of Kimball Township, died Monday, January 11, 2021.

She was born November 27, 1937 in Port Huron. She married her sweetheart, Henry Thomas, on January 29, 1955 in St. Stephen Catholic Church, Port Huron. They had 59 wonderful years together before his death on June 27, 2014.

Juliana was a graduate of St. Stephen High School. After 20 years of service, she retired from Port Huron Hospital in 2001 due to her long bout with breast cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved helping out with her grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever she could and enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved the outdoors, working in her yard, and had a daily ritual of feeding the wild birds.

She is survived by her son, Henry (Linda) Thomas Jr.; her daughter, Kristina (Larry) Mitchell: Judy Thomas: seven grandchildren, Mike (Elisa) Thomas, Larry (Melissa) Mitchell Jr., Nick Thomas (Shaye), Jill Thomas, Katie (Scott) Kautzman, Kelly (Matt) Pohl and Nicole (Jacob) Scriver; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Marlene (Mick) Bouckaert; a brother, Eric Jan (Florence) Cwikowski. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth (Bernard) Olson; and her dear son, Tommy.

It was Juliana’s desire to be cremated and for those who knew and loved her to celebrate her life and not mourn her death. Private family services will be held this spring.
