Gerald R. Moore, 82 of Port Huron Township, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
He was born August 29, 1938 in Port Huron to the late Roy and Bernice Moore. He married Elaine Sweet on November 22, 1985 in Port Huron.
Jerry owned and operated Jerry Moore snowplowing and Jerry Moore Trucking prior to his retirement. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Alaska. He enjoyed working on his 1957 Chevy convertible, spending time in Arizona, was a collector of 50’s and 60’s memorabilia and loved being around people especially his children and grandchildren. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Elaine; six children, Kathleen Yaglowski (Theron Crorey), Michael (Larysa) Moore, Keith Moore, Cheryl (Joe) Barron, Elizabeth Campbell and Kimberly (Tom) Peterman; seven grandchildren, Andrew (Nicole) Brockman, Lindsay (Chris) Scharff, Stephanie Barron, Karina Barron, Makayla Peterman, Chloe Peterman, Khrystyna Khrystychinko and Christopher Campbell; two great grandsons, Ryan and Corey Brockman; a sister, Gail (David) Perin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dean and Peggy Sweet and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Christian and brother, Richard Moore.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in First Church of the Nazarene. The Reverend Keith Sparks and The Reverend Josh Woods will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Air Force.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
