Edward Herrick Simpson

Edward H. Simpson, 73, of North Street, died Saturday, November 5, 2011.

He was born March 11, 1938 in Bad Axe to the late William and Edith Simpson. He married Linda Hamilton on August 27, 1960 in Port Huron.

Mr. Simpson retired from the City of Port Huron Recreation Department. He enjoyed reading, bike riding, and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; two children, Brian (Lara) Simpson and Sarah (Chris) Howell; two grandsons, Keith Simpson and Parker Howell; a brother, William (Wanda) Simpson; sister, Diane (Stanley) Prather; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth, and a brother, Doug.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Donald R. Doerzbacher officiated.

Burial was in Kinney Cemetery. Pallbearers were Stephen and Dan Hamilton, Gary Wolfe, Robert Hamilton, Chris and David Howell.
