Robert Lee Waite, 82, of Fort Gratiot, died Thursday, February 11, 2021.
He was born November 18, 1938 in Port Huron. He married Barbara Jean Roy on November 7, 1960 in St. Martin Lutheran Church
Robert graduated from Port Huron High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a carpenter with Local #687 for 50 years before his retirement. He was a lifetime member of St. John’s United Church of Christ. Robert was an avid fisherman and boater and enjoyed tennis. He was a car buff and his loves were his 1957 Ford Ranchero and his 1949 Chevy Sedan Delivery.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara; a daughter, Terese Waite; and a granddaughter, Naomi Waite. He was preceded in death by his parents, Crampton and Betty Pollock.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the safety and comfort of others.
Private family services will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m.. The livestream of the service may be viewed on Robert’s obituary page of the funeral home website.
Inurnment will be in the Allied Veterans Columbarium, Port Huron. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Marine Corps and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
