Francis W "Bill" Easton

Francis William “Bill” Easton, Jr. 78, of Port Huron, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021.

He was born at home on March 29, 1942 to the late Francis and Katherine Easton and raised on the family farm at the end of Beach Road in Port Huron Township which is now a township park and the Elks Lodge and golf course.

Bill was co-captain of his Port Huron High School Football team, which led to a scholarship in Iowa. He taught and did research at Wayne State University. When Bill’s longtime companion, Jeanet Biessel passed away in 2000, Bill went back to school and earned a nursing degree, specializing in hospice care.

Bill is survived by his stepchildren, Ken (Charlene) Biessel, Patti (Larry Dupuis), and Wayne (Sandy) Biessel; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; his sisters, Ann Hatfield and Grace Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. A family memorial will take place at a later date.
