Marilyn Jean Moss, 86, of Marysville, died Friday, March 12, 2021.
She was born June 16, 1934 in Port Huron to the late Charles K. and Helen Sheldon. She married Herbert J. Moss on October 2, 1954 in Port Huron. He died June 25, 1997.
Marilyn graduated from St. Stephen Catholic High School and was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church. She retired as a supervisor from Michigan Bell Telephone after 30 years. Marilyn loved being active in her retirement and served as a longtime treasurer and member of the Port Huron Musicale, was a member of the Cuttle Creek Condominium Board, Red Hats Society and Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, and served as a former treasurer for Betty Kearns Little Black Dress. She was a talented cook and baker who especially enjoyed making cookies, pies and beautiful birthday cakes for her family. Marilyn was a dedicated lifelong learner who enjoyed learning new technology and business skills even late in her life. More than anything, she was proud of her family, and enjoyed bragging about them and introducing them to her friends.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Cheryl) Moss; two grandchildren, Kari (Chad) Ross and Todd (Kelley) Moss; two great grandchildren, Hailey Ann and Anthony Ray Ross; a great great grandson due in June, Atreyu; a sister-in-law, Kim Sheldon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles K. Sheldon Jr.; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Weidenback, Betty (Chet) Barnell; and Lilace (Harold) Sage.
