Berdine LeVoy Zimmer

Berdine LeVoy Zimmer, 98, of Gibsonville, North Carolina, died Thursday, June 3, 2021 following a short illness.

She was born November 12, 1922 in Goodells, MI to the late Albert and Catherine (Rothwell) Bailey. She married Oliver P. Zimmer on September 5, 1942 in Goodells. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1997.

Berdine was employed with Chrysler Corporation during World War II and then Unipack. She worked for many years as a cook with the Port Huron Area School District before her retirement. She enjoyed spending time making big meals and being with her family.

She is survived by three children, Carol Cole and Ronald and Daryl Zimmer; five grandsons, Kevin (Ehmie), Darrin (Denise) and Terry (Ilona) Letzgus and Mike (Barbara) and Doug Zimmer; great grandchildren, Chantel Runkle (Rene Gobellan) and Jackson, Jessica, Sara and Shane Letzgus, Rachel Reader, Heidi, Jennah, Adam, Travis, Christina, Madelye and Tony Zimmer; two great great grandchildren, Kathleen and Sophie Gobellan; and a nephew, Paul (Tammy) Bailey. She was preceded in death by her brother, Burdette (Ruth) Bailey.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Wales, MI. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
