Obituary

Robert Lee Ange, 91, of Port Huron, died Saturday, June 26, 2021.

He was born January 3, 1930 in Detroit to the late Frank and Leona Ange. He married Marjorie “Margie” Ledford May 8, 1954 in Port Huron.

Bob was a 1948 graduate of Marysville High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1948-1949 and then was called back to serve during the Korean War in 1951 with the rank of Sergeant. After his discharge from the Marines, he was a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Deputy for several years. Bob was a real estate broker for 55 years and is best known for developing the Old Farm Subdivision. He attended Colonial Woods Missionary Church, coached his son in Little League, was a 40-year Detroit Tiger’s season ticket holder and enjoyed tennis, boating, and hunting. During his lifetime, Bob owned over 100 antique cars and had an extensive collection of automobilia.

He is survived by his wife, Margie, of 67 years; two children, Laurie (Jim) Charron and John (Kerry) Ange; five grandchildren, Ryan (Mindy) Charron, Christie (Mike) Fox, Jenna Lee Ange, Leah Ange and Lucy Ange who all affectionately called him “Marv”; great grandchildren, Natalie Charron, Isabella Fox and Lily Fox; brother, Burt (Alice) Ange; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by half-brothers, Harold and Harvey Hancock.

A private family service will be held.

Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Marine Corps. Pallbearers will be John Ange, Jim Charron, Ryan Charron and Mike Fox.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Christian Academy or Youth for Christ East Michigan.
