Claude H Gilmore

Claude H. Gilmore, 75, of Port Huron, formerly of Sarnia, died Tuesday, July 13, 2021.

He was born August 21, 1945 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada to the late Harold and Corrine Gilmore. He married Susan Smith on November 20, 1991 in Port Huron.

Mr. Gilmore was employed with Pipefitters Local 663 in Canada and later was a crossing guard with Port Huron Area Schools. He volunteered with the City of Port Huron Police Department VIP Program. Claude enjoyed watching the freighters and spending time with his dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; five children, Corey, Sharlene, Brian, Holly and Heather Gilmore; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Irene Gilmore; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Trixie, Odie and Ginger. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Art Gilmore.

Burial in Caswell Cemetery will take place at a later date.
