Sylvia M. McClarty "Tippy", 61, of Port Huron MI, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
She was born on October 2, 1959 in Port Huron, Michigan to Sylvester McClarty Sr. and the late Lena McClarty.
Sylvia, was a life-long resident of Port Huron. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Port Huron, Michigan. She attended Port Huron Area Schools. She loved children and was a Childcare Provider for many years.
Sylvia especially loved being with her family and friends playing Spades and UNO. Her passion was cooking, dancing, singing and music and she loved being a DJ. She sang in the church choir. She also sang in a band with her sisters, Angelia and Kelia performing at talent shows
and Cabarets.
Sylvia’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world. She loved to spend time with them, teaching them how to karaoke, sing and dance.
She leaves to cherish special memories three daughters, Keyanna McClarty of Rochester New York and Tanisha(James) Pettitt and Rachelle McClarty of Port Huron, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Dezmin, Daneisha, Talisha, Tyshell, Kayla, Felyna, Keyon and Keiaira; eight great grandchildren Ann-Marie, Symphoi, Naomi, Khorea, Nyema, Xavier, Dezmi and Allante; father, Sylvester McClarty Sr. of Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters, Angelia Jemison and Kelia McClarty of Port Huron, Michigan, Noreen McClarty of Atlanta, Georgia and Judy Bady of Patterson, New Jersey; and her brother, Sylvester McClarty Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio. She also leaves to cherish her memories a special cousin, Elaine Spigner; special friend, Joyce Noble; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sylvia was preceeded in death by her mother, Lena McClarty; step-mother Joyce McClarty; sister Tymikia McClarty;
and grandchild Kachelle McClarty.
A precious one from us has gone
A voice we loved is stilled.
A place is vacant in our hearts
Which never can be filled.
And after a lonely heartache
And many a silent tear.
But always a beautiful memory-
Of one we love so dear.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, August 23, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
