Obituary

Noreen Faye (Weston) Wolvin, of Fort Gratiot, died peacefully Sunday, September 12, 2021 in the care of Lake Huron Medical Center following a heart attack.

She was born April 24, 1939 in Sparlingville to the late Bernard and Faye Weston.

Noreen was a graduate of Marysville High School and continued her education at St. Clair County Community College. She was a LPN for over 35 years, working at Port Huron and Mercy Hospital Emergency Rooms, Faith and Evangelical Nursing Homes and finishing her career at Goodells Medical Center with its closure in 1992.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Pastor Madson was by her side in the hospital, reciting the Lord’s prayer along with her beloved children, Mark and Cathryn, when she opened her eyes and reached out her hand for him to hold. Noreen was also a member of the Council on Aging, where she enjoyed going on many trips.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Stefanie Ann) Wolvin and Cathryn Corbat; grandchildren, Ian and Cody Corbat; sister, Janice (Frank) Golembrosky; and brother, Steve Weston. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wolvin; and two sisters, Wanda Lee Simpson and Shirley LaGruth.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2021 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Port Huron with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Mark Madson will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date.
