Helmut W DeVigili
Helmut Werner DeVigili, 58, of Port Huron, died Sunday, September 26, 2021.
He was born June 27, 1963 in Bludenz, Austria to Walter and Inge DeVigili. He married Kathleen DeVooght on June 26, 1999 in Port Huron.
Helmut was an all-around handyman who enjoyed painting and remodeling homes. Most recently, he was employed as the custodian of Living Water Fellowship and as a groundskeeper at Lake Huron Medical Center. He was an outstanding skier and volleyball player who loved watching and playing sports. He was a fun-loving man who liked to tease and joke with people. He enjoyed making people laugh and was generous with his time and talents.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; four children, Taylor DeVigili, Trevor (Sophie) DeVooght, Chelsea DeVooght and Lauren (Dave) Broussard; two grandchildren, Tobias DeVooght and Marley Broussard; his parents, Walter and Inge DeVigili; his mother-in-law, Patricia Benoit; two siblings, Dieter (Kathy) DeVigili and Carol Densteadt; an aunt, Rosmarie DeFago; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends; and his little dog, Oliver.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The family requests those attending the visitation to wear a mask for the safety of everyone.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021 in Colonial Woods Missionary Church. Dr. Tom Seppo will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron. Pallbearers will be Dieter DeVigili, Andrew DeVigili, Trevor DeVooght, Carlo Daleo, Ken Benoit, Ken Fecteau and Dennis Kocis.
