Paul David Janiszewski, 73, of Marysville, died Sunday, October 3, 2021.

He was born July 30, 1948 in Scarbro, West Virginia to the late Frank and Mary Ellen Janiszewski. He married Ethel Smithberger on April 26, 1980 in Woodsfield, Ohio.

Mr. Janiszewski started school in Japan and graduated from Munich American High School in Munich, Germany while his father was in the service. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Texas, El Paso. He worked in the Electric Utility Industry for many years, retiring in 2014. Paul was a member of St. Christopher Catholic church and a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ethel; three children, Frank Janiszewski (Kirstin Burns), Susan Janiszewski and Barbara (Steven) Lemmel; a granddaughter, Norah Lemmel; a brother, Michael Janiszewski; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Joanna.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Marysville Funeral Home. A Knights of Columbus Rosary and presentation will be recited at 6 p.m.

Mr. Janiszewski will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Reverend James Arwady will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
