Obituary

William Alfred Hendrick, 73, of Marysville, died peacefully Thursday, October 7, 2021.

He was born October 2, 1948 in St. Clair to the late William and Jeanette Hendrick.

Bill graduated from Marysville High School and at the age of 18 was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1970 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Work was his passion; he was employed with Detroit Edison for 52 years until his retirement in March 2019. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed listening to music, working, boating and helping family and friends.

He is survived by his siblings, Paul (Terri) Hendrick, Karen Hanchera (Roger Miller) and Howard Hendrick; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Hendrick; brothers, Gary and Wayne Hendrick; and great nephew, Jacob Hendrick.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021 in the Marysville Funeral Home. Dr. Joseph Baunoch will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
