Jayson C Kellerman
Jayson Christopher Kellerman, 49, of Lexington, died Saturday, October 30, 2021. He now rests at peace after his three-year battle with cancer.
He was born May 26, 1972, in Port Huron to Judith and the late Christopher Kellerman. He married Teresa Gingerich on May 20, 2000, in Topeka, Indiana.
Jayson fell in love with hockey at a young age and sports fans in the area will remember him for his years on the ice with travel teams, Port Huron Northern and Eastern Michigan University. His passion and drive on skates earned him the nickname, “Killer.” That same “go get it” attitude and way of life also flowed into his hobbies and career, displaying many talents and successes over the years in various roles at the bank; most recently as a Project Manager. Jayson’s depth of character richly steeped in kindness, loyalty and pragmatism often sought ways to overcome challenges in those around him. Jayson blessed many lives in his 49 years with shared adventures, silly phrases among family and friends and an array of notorious nicknames.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa (Gingerich) Kellerman; children, Jade, Sage and Lars Kellerman; mother, Judy Kellerman; brothers, Blair (Jewel) and Adam (Rachel) Kellerman; sister, Emily (Craig) Johnson; nephews, Lukas and Logan Kellerman, Aidan Johnson and Jude and Sebastian Gingerich; nieces, Olivia and Bella Johnson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Barb Gingerich; and brothers-in-law, Brian (Angela) and Keith (Sylvanna) Gingerich. He was preceded in death by his father, Christopher Kellerman.
Private family services will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Port Huron Minor Hockey Association or Brown City Missionary Camp.
