Myrtle M Lander

Myrtle Martha Lander, 85, of Fort Gratiot, died Monday, January 10, 2022.

She was born February 21, 1936 in Detroit to the late Howard and Mae Sutton. She married John Lander on June 16, 1952 in Detroit. He died November 5, 2012.

Myrtle graduated from Michigan State University with a Master’s in Education. She taught for Grant and Kimball Township schools for many years and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Port Huron.

She is survived by two sons, John Lander Jr. and Benjamin (Joyce) Lander; one daughter, Elizabeth (Roy) Pierce; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennie Mae.

Private family services will be held.
