Gerald Lee “Jerry” Goodman Sr., 67, of Kimball Township, died unexpectedly on Monday, February 7, 2022.
He was born January 5, 1955 in Port Huron to the late Calvin A. and Ellen E. Goodman. He married Bobbie Jean M. Paling on November 5, 1977 at Riley Center United Methodist Church.
Jerry graduated from Port Huron High School in 1973. He worked for several companies before starting with LM Gear, now Anderson Cook, in 1992. Jerry just retired in March 2021. He was passionate about music and loved listening to his large collection of CDs and vinyl. Jerry was also a sports fan who especially enjoyed Detroit Tiger’s baseball, but his pride and joy in life was his beautiful granddaughter, Jaycee.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bobbie Jean; three children, Michelle Goodman, Gerald “Jerry” Goodman Jr. and Eric (Rachel) Goodman; two grandchildren, Zachary Stone and Jaycee Goodman; two sisters, Nora (Lauren) Pananen and Linda (Bob) Clement; two brothers, Tom (Brenda) Goodman and Jeff (Carole) Goodman; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jakob Simpson.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 in the Marysville Funeral Home. Dr. Joseph Baunoch will officiate. A livestream of the service will be available on Jerry’s obituary page of the funeral home website.
Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township. Pallbearers will be Jerry’s family.
