Stephen D Jones

Stephen David Cole Jones, 24, of Ruby, passed away in his sleep due to epilepsy on Tuesday, December 20, 2011. He was born September 9, 1987 in Port Huron. Stephen graduated from Yale High School in 2006 where he played on the varsity basketball team. He attended Baker College in Port Huron. Steve was a gentle giant who loved making people laugh and having a good time with his friends and family, especially his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his mother, Karen Jones (Gary Charles) of Ruby; brother, Mike (Casey) Harju; three sisters, Jessica, Tara and Tiffany Jones; grandmother, Charlene Harris; nieces and nephews, Keyona, Serena, “God-daughter” Natalie, Cadin and Cameron; aunts and uncles, Patty Gentle, Charles (Cheryl) Harris, Beverley O’Hare, Linda (Jeff) Beebe and John (Lara) Harris; his special friend and “cousin”, Diana Weaver; and many other dear cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, H. Roy Harris. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. on Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at noon. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. Burial will be in Ruby Cemetery, Ruby. Pallbearers will be John Harris, Victor Olvera, Jason O’Hare, Cory Wargo, Cory Woolman, Tyler Osgood, Chris Sampson and Dustin Collins. Memorials may be made to the family.
