Donald Noel Napper, 93, of St. Clair, died Thursday, August 4, 2022.
He was born September 30, 1928 in Detroit to the late Lloyd and Henrietta Napper. He received his degree in electrical engineering from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan.
Donald served in the United States Army from 1952-1960, retiring with rank of Corporal and receiving a National Service Medal and United Nations Service Medal. He subsequently worked for the U.S. military for one year in southern Italy on a missile installation assignment. Upon returning stateside, he joined K.J. Law Engineers Inc. in Novi which became known for its innovative in-house research and development. The company designed, engineered and manufactured state-of-the-art test inspection products. Donald worked for the remainder of his career with the company.
He is survived by his son, Paul and was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey. He leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2022 in the chapel at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery, Clinton Township. Officiating will be Pastor Jeff Nelson of Royal Oak First Methodist Church. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army.
