Charles Dunsmore, 87, of Wales Township, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
He was born November 28, 1934 in Wales Township to the late C. Wade and Evelyn Dunsmore. He married Joyce Krohn on September 15, 1962 in Port Huron. She died November 5, 2013.
Mr. Dunsmore was employed with General Motors for 35 years before retiring on July 31, 2004. He was a long-time member of Ross Bible Church where he was an usher, worked in Awana and played on the church baseball team. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, raised horses, loved his animals, and had a small orchard at his home. He was a devoted father and grandfather.
He is survived by his son, David (Cathy) Dunsmore, two daughters, Deena Dunsmore and Denise (Matthew) Beemer; four grandchildren, Eli and Ella Dunsmore, Caleb and Rachel Beemer; a sister, Janet Shepley; three brothers, Clyde (Jean) Dunsmore, Kenneth (Sharon) Dunsmore and Alger (Gayle) Dunsmore; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Dunsmore.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Pastor Timothy Clark will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clyde, Kenneth, Alger and Eli Dunsmore, Randy Shepley and Matthew and Caleb Beemer.
