Dorothy May Dortman Thompson, 91, of Port Huron, died Thursday, February 23, 2023.
She was born December 30, 1931 in Croswell to the late Henry and Lydia Dortman.
Dorothy loved going up north to the cabin, occasionally stopping by the casino and spending time with her family. She was a member of the American Legion Charles Hammond Auxiliary Unit #8, Women of the Moose Chapter 99 and the Blue Water Aerie #3702 Fraternal Order of Eagles.
She is survived by three daughters, Lori (Joseph) Frey, Bette (Doug) Reed and Joni Thompson (Dave Lindstrom); four grandchildren, Joseph (Leigh) Frey Jr., Jeremy (Alaina) Frey, Karen Reed and Julie (Jarett) Stevenson; seven great grandchildren, Taryn, Paiten, Cade, Wyatt, Adalynne, Elise and Allison; brothers, John and Robert Dortman; brother-in-law, Gerald Albert; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Irene Woodman, Shirley Albert, and William, Jake, David and Betty Jane Dortman.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Hospice Chaplain Vicki Torrey will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron. Pallbearers will be Doug Reed, Joseph Frey Jr., Jeremy Frey, Dave Lindstrom and Jarett Stevenson.
