LeRoy A Jodway, III

LeRoy Anthony Jodway III, 70, of St. Clair Township, formerly of Warren, died Sunday, March 5, 2023.

He was born July 25, 1952 in Detroit to the late Geraldine and LeRoy Jodway Jr. He married Delphine Plewa on June 8, 1974 in Harper Woods.

LeRoy graduated from Cass Tech High School and then served in the U.S. Navy. LeRoy retired from J.W. Cole & Sons. He enjoyed fishing, reading, solving puzzles, playing cards and watching NASCAR. He was a longtime member of St. Malachy Catholic Church in Warren.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Delphine; son, Darren (Renee) Jodway; grandchildren, Brandon (Taryn), Joshua (Katie) and Madison Ledford; great grandchildren, Landon, Henrik, Hadley and Waylon; siblings, Denise Onofrey, Elaine (Bill) Best, Faith (Pete) Terenzi and Rick (Janice) Magnuson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Joanne (Kenny) Bashaw, Corinne (Charlie) Dinkel and Lyn Magnuson.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023 in St. Christopher Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend James Arwady will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy.

Inurnment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
