Lawrence N Schulte
Lawrence Norman Schulte, 95, of Marysville, died Thursday, March 9, 2023.
He was born January 31, 1928 in Detroit to the late Arthur and Lenora Schulte. He married Emma Krause on April 22, 1950 in Algonac. She preceded him in death on April 28, 1999.
Lawrence was employed with DTE for 35 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Schubert Male Chorus and a crossing guard at Gardens Elementary. He enjoyed watching the boats on the water, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles and feeding his birds.
He is survived by his children, Nora (John) Arnold, Lawrence Schulte (Steven Ham), James (Ann) Schulte and Joseph (Casie) Schulte; longtime family friend and former exchange student, Jukka (Anne) Uramo and family; grandchildren, Heather (Toby) Peters, Melissa (Randall) Acton, Joseph (Jessica) Schulte, Christopher Schulte and Michael Schulte; great grandchildren, Trevor Roy, Mitchell Roy, Lily Peters, Clara Peters, Randie Acton, Olivia Schulte and Samuel Schulte; sister, Elizabeth (Joseph) Ahee; brother, Melvin (Marie) Schulte; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Schulte, who was killed in WWII during the Battle of the Bulge; and sister, Carleen (Norman) Haber.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Water Hospice Home or Sanborn Gratiot Memorial Home.
