Joyce J Wolven

Joyce Jean Wolven, 77, of Marysville, died Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

She was born June 3, 1945 in Roseville to the late Albert and Emma Hattan. She married David Wolven on September 5, 1993 in Algonac. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2018 after 25 years of marriage.

Joyce was employed as a waitress at The Voyageur and most recently at Four Star Grille. She loved being with friends and was very kind, generous and caring.

She is survived by two children, Denise (Larry) Hyde and Jim (Abbey) Brown; five grandchildren, Jonathon (Kelly) Crerar, Courtney, Madison and Carson Brown and Kyle (Lauren) Hyde; two great granddaughters, Claire and Kora; sister, Karen Rivard; sister-in-law, Diane Beedon; brother-in-law, Sante Perili; several nieces and nephews; many dear friends including “Woody” and Juanita; and her faithful cat, Benny. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deanna Baker; sister, Nancy Perfili; and two brothers-in-law, Jerry Beedon and Dennis Rivard.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Dr. G. Patrick Thompson will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Water Area Humane Society.
