Hope D Rix

Hope Doniece Rix, 56, of Fort Gratiot, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 22, 2023.

She was born October 18, 1966 in Macon, Georgia to JoAnn and the late Andrew Edwards Jr.

Hope graduated from Hammond Baptist High School in Indiana. She worked as a finance manager with A & B Motors for many years. Hope enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and traveling with her bestie to Fort Lauderdale. Hope was kind and giving, witty, fierce, strong and some would say, “she was a force to be reckoned with”. She never met a stranger. She loved the sunshine, beach, her pool and her fur-babies. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #158.

She is survived by her daughters, Alexa and Xandria (Jeffery); grandchildren, Ahlon, Laveha and Maslynn; dearest life-long friend, Judy Ameel; mother, JoAnn Edwards; brothers, Andrew (Vicki) Edwards III and Dwayne (Angel) Edwards; many nieces and nephews; and her 4 fur-babies.

Visitation will be held from 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in Hillside Wesleyan Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Andrew Edwards III will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
