James Cathey

James Marvin Cathey, 58, of Port Huron Township, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

He was born January 13, 1965 in Port Huron.

James graduated from Woodland Developmental Center and was employed with the ARC and Community Enterprises. He enjoyed shopping, watching movies, listening to music and dancing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

He leaves to mourn his passing his mother, Arvelia Williams; siblings, Lisa Cathey, Tamiko (Ricky) Edwards, Keisha Austin, Eddreika (Buck) Williams-Bar and John Kidd Jr.; uncle, Albert Cathey Jr.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Walter Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 in Restoration Christian Community Church with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Carl E. Miller will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Wales Township.
