Malinda Gardner

Malinda Gardner, 63, of Newport, Michigan, formerly of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 8, 2023.

She was born July 14, 1959 in Port Huron to the late Andrew and Mary Williams.

Malinda graduated from Port Huron High School and received degrees from the University of Missouri, University of Michigan and Baker College. She was employed in the medical field for many years as a registered nurse and was also a social worker. She enjoyed singing, watching football, walking, gardening, spending time with her family and caring for her residents at Sea Crest Nursing Home in Monroe. She was a member of Stewart Road Church in Monroe, Michigan.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children, Robin Cooper, Desmond Cooper, Aaron Williams-Robinson, Jalen Curry, Harrison (Heather) Haynes and Alphonso Coleman; 16 grandchildren; former husband, Eugene Curry; siblings, Arabella “Sue” (Edward) Beavers, Janice Russell, Anthony Williams and Pete Williams; aunt, Everlene Hayes; uncles, Lloyd Sanders and Charles Hackman; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, July 17, 2023 in Restoration Christian Community Church with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Link Howard will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.
