Gloria L Cowper

Gloria Lenore Cowper, 97, of Fort Gratiot, died Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

She was born May 6, 1926 in Port Huron to the late George and Grace Nevin. She married Sheldon N. Cowper on February 28, 1945 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1980.

Gloria was an avid reader and gardener. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially gathering for cookouts.

She is survived by her son, Larry (Teresa) Cowper; grandchildren, Lesa Cowper, Valerie (Lance) Jernigan, Wendy (Jasen) Rozumny and Lawrence (Kristina) Cowper; 12 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Gratiot Township. The Reverend Nathaniel Tucker will officiate.
