James R Scohy

James Richard Scohy, 80, of Fort Gratiot, died Saturday, November 11, 2023.

He was born April 9, 1943 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to the late Richard and Lorna Scohy. He married Judith Gore on August 30, 1960 in Indiana.

James was a 1961 graduate of Purdue University. He was employed with Dunn Paper Co. for many years. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes. James also enjoyed driving nice cars, and especially fishing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Judy; daughter, Pamela Doane; grandchildren, Jason and Alex Doane; sister, Jean Shoemaker; nieces, Stacey (Tom) Bennett and Kyley (Curtis) Malocha. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Diane Shaffer and Fran Huckleberry.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, November 19, 2023 in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Celebrant Laurie Wilson will officiate.
