Catherine Huston

Catherine Ann Huston, 91, of Marysville, Michigan, formerly St. Clair, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2023, with her family by her side.

She was born December 14, 1931, in Westphalia, Michigan to the late Joseph and Antoinette “Nettie” Trierweiler.

Catherine graduated later in life with a master's degree from Michigan State University and retired from East China Schools after 21 years of service where she taught 1st and 2nd grades. She was long-time volunteer for LifeLine through River District Hospital Auxiliary and a former Board Member of Pine Shores Golf Club. Kay was an avid Bridge player, teaching many the game, loved golfing, bowling, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. She was a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved being with family and sharing her northern cabin.

She is survived by and will be greatly missed by four daughters, Gay (Joel) Venia, Patti Bouck, Ann (Tom) Brennan and Lynn Huston; and nine grandchildren, Jared Venia, Jessica Venia, Chris Bouck (Aimee Lanteigne), Anna Bouck, Erin (Matt) Williams, Kelly (Andrew) Gibson, Shannon (Shawn) Feinstein, Paige Hall and Ian Hall; four great-grandchildren, Dominick Leahy, Thomas and Drew Gibson, Camille Williams and soon-to-be born baby girl Williams; and sister, Marilyn (Bernard) Thelen. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Murv in 2012.

Greatly appreciated were loving caregivers who became loving friends, Liz Laing, Kathy Keighley, Johnna Gray, RaeAnn Smith, and a special thank you to Blue Water Hospice.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024 in St. Christopher Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and a eulogy at 10:50 a.m.
