Frederick William Brown

Frederick William Brown, 78, of Avoca, died Thursday, February 1, 2024.

He was born August 18, 1945 in Detroit to the late Frederick and Annabelle Brown. He married Mary Alice Pettersen on June 26, 1965 in Detroit Calvary Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Frederick was employed as a toolmaker with Chrysler Corporation for 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed showing sporting dogs, league bowling, fishing, hunting with his brother, Jim, traveling, going on cruises and antique cars.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Alice; godson, Bryan Carlisle; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded by two brothers, James “Jim” and Charles Brown and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Shaun Laurain will officiate.
