Frank S Slowinski
Frank Stanley Slowinski, beloved husband, father and grandfather, 87, of Fort Gratiot, died Thursday, February 1, 2024.
He was born February 14, 1936 in Port Huron to the late Michael and Helen Slowinski. He married Kay L. Bryce on October 30, 1965 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Huron.
Frank graduated from Port Huron High School and was employed at the Newberry Store and A&P prior to getting hired at the telephone company. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and upon completion of his service, went back to work at the telephone company until his retirement in 1994. He loved fishing and bird watching.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kay; two children, James (Lisa) Slowinski and Sara (Paul) Jacokes; eight grandchildren, Timothy Slowinski, Abigail (Zachary) Meduvsky and Michael, Matthew, Benjamin, Caleb, Daniel, and Emma Jacokes; a great grandson arriving very soon, Leo Meduvsky; and sister, Theresa Roy (Stephen Bryce). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia Slowinski; and brother, Kasmer Slowinski.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Slowinski will lie in state from 10:30 until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024 in Holy Trinity Parish - St. Joseph Catholic Church. Reverend Joseph Gagnon will officiate.
The Rite Committal will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
