Delores M Booth
Delores Mary Booth, 91, of Kimball, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024.
She was born November 14, 1932, in Sandusky, Michigan to the late Lloyd and Verna Pringle. Delores spent her early years growing up in Detroit where she appreciated the bustle of city life. Later, she and her family returned to Sandusky. There, Delores treasured her time on the farm, helping with her younger siblings, and sampling her mother’s fresh baked pies.
After graduating from Sandusky High School in 1950, Delores returned to the city to become a certified cosmetologist. She loved everything about making women look beautiful and often said she would, “Love to be coloring hair now!”
Delores married Ivan E. Booth on May 28, 1954, in Angola, Indiana. When recalling the early years of their marriage, Delores regaled the beauty of the Pacific Coast and never hesitated to comment that, “If it weren’t for family, we would have never left Salinas, California.”
Delores Booth was a thoughtful soul, never forgetting a birthday or special event; a great listener, always eager to hear one’s latest; a fun-loving friend, often heard saying, “Let’s go!” seconds after an invite. She was a loving, generous, and forgiving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, ‘gadding’, and party games. Delores had fond memories of her time participating in a ladies Birthday club, and as a member of Blue Water Free Methodist Church in Kimball.
Delores is survived by her four children, Robert (Norma Jean) Booth, Judith (Mike) Webb, Mary Jo Booth, and Michael (Veronica) Booth; six grandchildren, Richard Booth, Ryan Sanders, Chris Sanders (Jessica), Derek Sanders, Michael L. Booth, and Breanna Booth; five great grandchildren, Brooke Booth, Olivia Booth, Beau Sanders, Carter Sanders, and Archie Sanders; a brother William (Mandy) Pringle; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Ivan Booth; daughter, Annette Marie Booth; sister, Nancy (Pringle) Gerstenberger; and a niece, Linda (Gerstenberger) Kenny.
