Marilyn I Hanton

Marilyn Irene Hanton, 86, of Port Huron, died Friday, March 15, 2024.

She was born April 20, 1937 in Port Huron to the late Clair and Lela Maxon.

Marilyn attended Colonial Woods Missionary Church. Her passion for her faith inspired others to seek the Lord. She enjoyed helping people, walking on the beach to search for treasure, canoeing, gathering morels and berries and playing cards with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Craig Hanton (Sandy Pensyl) and Sanford “Sandy” (Lorri) Hanton; son-in-law, Dale Bryan; granddaughter, Chelsea Bryan; sister, Linda (Mike) Bonney; good friend Diane (Bill) Lovelace; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Bryan; brother Clair Maxon; sister, Betsy Rowe; and former husband, Roger Hanton.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, April 20, 2024 in Colonial Woods Missionary Church with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Brian Ake will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
