Jackie Belkiewicz
Jackie Peter “Butch” Belkiewicz, 65, of Worth Township, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012.
He was born July 19, 1946 in Hamtramck to the late Joseph and Julia Belkiewicz.
Mr. Belkiewicz worked for Chrysler Corporation. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Croswell American Legion Post 255. Butch was a published poet and enjoyed fishing, hunting, being in the woods and driving his yellow Jeep.
He is survived by seven children, Donna Vermeulen, Gregory (Carrie) Belkiewicz, Patricia (Kevin) Gardner, Barbara Belkiewicz, Michael (Rebecca) Belkiewicz, Matthew Belkiewicz and Jesse (Jamie) Belkiewicz; 12 grandchildren with one on the way; his former wife, Susan Thole; two brothers, Eugene Belkiewicz and James (Rose) Belkiewicz; a sister, Margaret (Gary) Holmes; an aunt Gerrie (Robert) Bethke; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Lynda Crusan; a brother, Joseph Belkiewicz; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Belkiewicz.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Brian Cokonougher will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
Memorial contributions may be made to the D.A.V. or the American Diabetes Association.
