William Tenniswood

William J. Tenniswood, 80, of Smiths Creek, passed peacefully Friday, July 26, 2024.

He was born August 13, 1943 in Yale to the late Clair and Elizabeth Tenniswood. He married Barbara Hillman on November 28, 1964 in Yale.

William grew up in North Street and he graduated from Yale High School. He liked farming, cowboys, and watching westerns. He had a great love for his family and friends. He especially enjoyed going to breakfast with a group of his friends at Wadhams Country Kitchen.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara; three children, William “Brian” (Tina) Tenniswood, Cheryl (Richard) Fahrner, and Michael Tenniswood; several grandchildren, including Christina (Nick) Stoutenburg-Sanchez and Kylie (Tom) Grambau; his great-grandchildren, including Oliver Sanchez; several bonus children and grandchildren that he held close to his heart; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Shaun Laurain will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township at a later date.
