Karen L Barr

Karen Lynn Barr, 61, of Port Huron Township, died Sunday, August 4, 2024.

She was born May 27, 1963 in Port Huron to James C. and the late Joan M. Barr. Karen graduated from Marysville High School in 1982. She was employed as a waitress for several years and most recently cleaned homes. Karen met Michael Latoszkiewicz on a blind date and they’ve been together for 36 years. Karen enjoyed people watching, cooking and camping. She also liked going to softball games, especially when Mike played. Karen’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world, and she loved nothing more than spending time with them.

She is survived by her significant other of 36 years, Michael Latoszkiewicz; father, James Barr; three sisters, Shelly Baker, Jill Barr (Louis Riffenburg) and Jody Ryan; many nieces and nephews; two step-children, Melissa Latoszkiewicz (Jay Norman) and Kelly Latoszkiewicz; eight grandchildren, Jenika, Deontay, D’Anthony, Markel, Brianna, Teonna, Dandre and Keaira; four great grandchildren; best friend, Leanna (Glen) Hill; and grand dog, Bentley. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Barr; step-daughter, Tiffany Latoszkiewicz; and brother-in-law, William Ryan.

Memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home.
