Larry D Burnett

Larry Dean Burnett, 87, of Lexington, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, January 24, 2025.

He was born February 6, 1937 in West Frankfort, Illinois to the late Joseph and Maxine Burnett. He married Carol Joyce Wayman on February 14, 1958 in East Detroit.

Larry was employed as a district manager with Michigan Bell Telephone Company for over 37 years prior to his retirement. He was president of the Cedar Haven homeowner’s association for 26 years and a former member of the Elks Lodge in both Port Huron and Fort Myers. Larry enjoyed spending time in Florida, but most of all he loved his family, who looked up to him as a great father, mentor and hero to many. He will be remembered as a peaceful and generous man, always willing to help others.

He is survived by his wife of almost 67 years, Carol; three children, Robert (Frances), Daniel (Catherine) and Michael (Bridgett) Burnett; three grandchildren, Daniel (Karen), Jacklyn and Lauren Burnett; four sisters, Peggy, Linda, Nancy and Mary; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
