Mary A Schoen

Mary Ann Schoen, 69, of Clinton Township, died Friday, May 2, 2025.

She was born November 11, 1955 in Mount Clemens to the late Alex and Marion Mokanyk and graduated from Mount Clemens High School.

Mary was a “supermom” and loved her role as a mother, grandma and great grandma. She was involved in the PTO when her kids were young and enjoyed helping with her grandchildren and great grandchildren as she got older. Mary was very creative and artistic. She loved knitting and drawing and was a talented crafter who made handmade ornaments for her family every Christmas. She also loved listening to music and dancing.

She is survived by five children, Scott A. Schoen, Shawn E. Schoen, Kelly M. Schoen, Jeremy W. (Heather) Schoen, and David W. Schoen; 15 grandchildren, Allison, Anthony, Grayson, Awestyn, Starr, Jonathan, Dayton, Camron, Kashaan, Desmond, Collin, Emmett, Christian, Jaden and Zoe; 7 great grandchildren; two sisters, Sandy Pesendorfer and Emma (Robert) Tabor; a sister-in-law, Patricia Newby; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by twin infant brothers, John and Joseph; two brothers, Charles and Menzel Jr. “Jim” (Ann); sister, Anna; and brother-in-law, Robert Pesendorfer.

Private family services have been held.
