Arnold Edward Bartley Jr., 76, of Fort Gratiot, died Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

He was born August 9, 1948 in Port Huron. He was the son of the late Arnold and Lois Bartley. Arnold married Sherry Jeannean Akers on August 16, 1986 in Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Port Huron.

Arnold served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam. After his service, he was employed with Rush Trucking and Ryder for 30 years and retired in August 2014. He was a local sports fan and enjoyed scorekeeping for many teams. He also enjoyed following his granddaughters in their many activities. He was loved by many in his community.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sherry; daughter, Holly (Joe) Rose; grandchildren, Cecelia, Elizabeth and Violet Rose; siblings, Sandra (Louis) Weaver, Susie Sills and Alan (Liandra) Bartley; in-laws, Rose (Elwin) Evatt, Lucille Starr and Linda Akers; many nieces and nephews; adopted family, Nicole Bassett, Ashley Barth and Jeremy Barth; and his furry companions, Toby and Pickles. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Quinton and Jeannean Akers; and brother-in-law, Quinton Akers; and sister Cheryl Shivley.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Joseph Baunoch will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Marine Corps and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township.
